About Thierry

Thierry is a trilingual (English/German/French) trial attorney and international dispute resolution specialist. He has participated in over 40 international arbitration proceedings under various rules and laws, including investment arbitration cases. Thierry conducts arbitration-related court proceedings (including interim measures, setting-aside proceedings and enforcement of awards). He is also regularly called upon to represent clients in front of French- or German-speaking Swiss courts, including Commercial High Courts, and the Swiss Supreme Court. He has particular expertise in commercial, construction, unfair competition, corporate, employment and legal mutual assistance cases. He advises on and represents clients in claims management, debt enforcement and bankruptcy matters, especially when they have a cross-border aspect. Thierry is a specialist in asset freezing and interim measure issues. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs and executives regarding the legal aspects of their strategy decisions and in the handling of their day-to-day legal matters, including employment, IP, criminal, corporate, contractual and project management issues.

Prior experience

Thierry studied law in Neuchâtel, Zurich (lic.iur. 2007), Heidelberg and Cambridge (LL.M. 2013). Prior to founding Four Knights, Thierry worked in the litigation and arbitration departments of leading international law firms in Zurich, Geneva and Berne (last as Arbitration & Litigation Partner). He also worked on the trading floor of a private bank in Zurich, as a Career Officer with the Swiss Armed Forces and clerked at a District Court in the Canton of Zurich.

About Nataša

Nataša is a quadrilingual (German/English/Spanish/Serbo-Croatian) trial attorney.  Nataša participated, as counsel or expert, in numerous litigations and arbitration proceedings, and also acts as mediator. In addition to her disputes practice, Nataša regularly advises clients in commercial, contract, property law or sureties / guarantee matters. Her background, language skills and experience make her a go-to practitioner for clients from South East Europe looking for assistance in all their matters under Swiss law or with a link to Switzerland.

Apart from her practice as an attorney, Nataša is also a distinguished scholar and lecturer. She has received several merit-based scholarships, inter alia from the Swiss National Fund, for both her doctoral and post-doctoral thesis. Nataša has been commended repeatedly for her teaching activity. She is on the editorial board of several academic publications and has spoken and published extensively on arbitration, contract, surety, and property law issues. Nataša teaches comparative private law at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and has given guest lectures at the State University Babeş-Bolyai (Cluj-Napoca, Romania), the University of Lucerne (Switzerland), the University of Zenica, the University of Sarajevo (both Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the University of Tirana (Albania). She regularly co-organises – with local colleagues – round tables and conferences on arbitration with a focus on South-East Europe.

Prior experience

Nataša studied law in Zurich (lic.iur. 1998; Dr.iur. 2006) and defended her post-doctoral dissertation in 2021. Before joining Four Knights, Nataša worked several years as an attorney with an arbitration boutique law firm in Zurich, as a Senior Research Fellow responsible for the South-East Europe Unit with the Max Planck Institute for International and Comparative Private Law in Hamburg, Germany, and as an attorney with the Zurich office of one of the world’s largest international law firms. During her time with the Max Planck Institute, Nataša regularly acted as legal expert before German courts.

About Gianluca

Gianluca is a trilingual (English, French and Italian) trial lawyer. He regularly represents clients in international arbitration proceedings under various rules (such as UNCITRAL, Swiss, CAS/TAS, and ICC Rules) and before French and Italian-speaking Swiss courts, including the Swiss Supreme Court. Being a binational Italian and UK citizen and having grown up in Italy, England, and Switzerland, Gianluca is thoroughly at ease dealing with international clients and cross-cultural matters. Due to his affinity to Japanese culture and language, he also regularly advises Japanese clients in their matters pertaining to Swiss law or Switzerland in general.​
