About Thierry

Thierry is a trilingual (English/German/French) trial attorney and international dispute resolution specialist. He has participated in over 40 international arbitration proceedings under various rules and laws, including investment arbitration cases. Thierry conducts arbitration-related court proceedings (including interim measures, setting-aside proceedings and enforcement of awards). He is also regularly called upon to represent clients in front of French- or German-speaking Swiss courts, including Commercial High Courts, and the Swiss Supreme Court. He has particular expertise in commercial, construction, unfair competition, corporate, employment and legal mutual assistance cases. He advises on and represents clients in claims management, debt enforcement and bankruptcy matters, especially when they have a cross-border aspect. Thierry is a specialist in asset freezing and interim measure issues. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs and executives regarding the legal aspects of their strategy decisions and in the handling of their day-to-day legal matters, including employment, IP, criminal, corporate, contractual and project management issues.

Prior experience

Thierry studied law in Neuchâtel, Zurich (lic.iur. 2007), Heidelberg and Cambridge (LL.M. 2013). Prior to founding Four Knights, Thierry worked in the litigation and arbitration departments of leading international law firms in Zurich, Geneva and Berne (last as Arbitration & Litigation Partner). He also worked on the trading floor of a private bank in Zurich, as a Career Officer with the Swiss Armed Forces and clerked at a District Court in the Canton of Zurich.

About Gianluca

Gianluca is a trilingual (English, French and Italian) trial lawyer. He regularly represents clients in international arbitration proceedings under various rules (such as UNCITRAL, Swiss, CAS/TAS, and ICC Rules) and before French and Italian-speaking Swiss courts, including the Swiss Supreme Court. Being a binational Italian and UK citizen and having grown up in Italy, England, and Switzerland, Gianluca is thoroughly at ease dealing with international clients and cross-cultural matters.

Prior experience

Gianluca studied law in Geneva (BLaw 2013; MLaw 2015; CAS Legal Profession 2015; WIPO Intellectual Property Certificate 2014). Prior to being called to the Geneva bar in 2017, Gianluca interned in a Geneva-based international shipping company and two Genevan law firms. He then spent three years as an associate with a GAR 100-listed dispute resolution boutique firm before joining Four Knights.
