About Thierry

Thierry is a trilingual (English/German/French) trial attorney and international dispute resolution specialist. He has participated in over 40 international arbitration proceedings under various rules and laws. His expertise includes investment arbitration cases under ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules. Thierry conducts arbitration-related court proceedings (including interim measures, setting-aside proceedings and enforcement of awards). He is also regularly called upon to represent clients in front of French- or German-speaking Swiss courts, including Commercial High Courts (Zurich, Bern, Aarau) and the Swiss Supreme Court. He has particular expertise in commercial, employment and legal mutual assistance cases. He advises on and represents clients in claims management, debt enforcement and bankruptcy matters, especially when they have a cross-border aspect. Thierry is a specialist in asset freezing and interim measure issues. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs and companies in the handling of their day-to-day legal matters, including employment, IP, criminal, corporate, contract and project management issues.

Prior experience

Thierry studied law in Neuchâtel, Zurich (lic.iur. 2007), Heidelberg and Cambridge (LL.M. 2013). Prior to founding Four Knights, Thierry worked in the litigation and arbitration departments of leading international law firms in Zurich, Geneva and Berne (last as Partner in the international arbitration and litigation team). He also worked on the trading floor of a private bank in Zurich, as a Career Officer with the Swiss Armed Forces and clerked at a District Court in the Canton of Zurich.

  • Advised and represented a client in emergency restructuring endeavours in order to save the company from forced bankruptcy, including litigation against a shareholder and day-to-day support of the new management on debt enforcement, employment, corporate and criminal matters.
